The Mad Hatters of Winter 2011–12

Victoria Hinshaw (left) grew up in California, hearing stories about her North Carolina ancestors. But when she's homesick, it's Southeast Portland she's thinking about.

Lauren White (right), a UALR graduate student in rhetoric, writing, and editing, enjoys concocting fondue recipes, listening to film scores, and exploring fiction and nonfiction.

Ms. Marguerite Boyles (front) responds to a slew of nicknames, including Maggie, Magpie, Gertie, and Mad-[insert ferocious animal]. She wishes more women wore hats and that Americans read poetry.
