Brian Blanchfield is the author of three books of poetry and prose, most recently Proxies: Essays Near Knowing. The recipient of a 2016 Whiting Award in Nonfiction and the 2014 James Laughlin Award, he currently lives in Iowa City, where he is a visiting faculty member at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
