This Spring, the OA will focus on food.
Through fresh reporting, in-depth profiles, and daring personal essays, this issue will explore what we eat: people, industries, and tastes that both build and challenge our ideas of Southern food.

Indigo De Souza is a singer and songwriter from North Carolina whose music has been praised by Pitchfork, the New York Times, and the New Yorker. Her most recent album, All of This Will End, grapples with mortality, the rejuvenation that community brings, and the importance of centering yourself now. Its eleven tracks come from the most resonant moments of her life: childhood memories, collecting herself in parking lots, the ecstatic trips spent wandering Appalachian mountains and Southern swamps with friends, and the times she had to stand up for herself.
