Katie Kehoe is a Canadian-born artist based in Tallahassee, Fl, who creates speculative survival architecture, objects, and wearables for use in performance and installation, which she documents with still photography. Her work has been presented at The Hirshhorn Museum (DC), The Contemporary Museum (MD), Center for Maine Contemporary Art (ME), Arlington Arts Center (VA), and others. Katie earned an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art at Florida State University. Her work engages multiple media and processes to envision a reality wherein the effects of extreme weather are so severe, we must adapt the spaces we inhabit, the clothing we wear, and develop strategies to build resilience in the face of ever-present environmental change.
