Rashod Ollison was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and grew up in Little Rock. He’s the award-winning culture critic and entertainment writer for the Virginian-Pilot. His memoir, Soul Serenade: Rhythm, Blues & Coming of Age Through Vinyl, was published in 2016.
