Sarah Mullens is a Hammond-Schwartz Fellow at Colorado State University and associate editor at Colorado Review. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Missouri Review, Literary Hub, and elsewhere. In 2025, she won the Mayday Creative Nonfiction Prize from New American Press. A sixth-generation West Virginian, she splits her time between Putnam County and Colorado’s Front Range.
