Will Friedwald has written two books, Jazz Singing and Sinatra! The Song Is You. An extract from Jazz Singing was included in Reading Jazz, a recent volume of the best in jazz writing compiled by former New Yorker editor Robert Gottlieb. Mr. Friedwald has also written the liner notes for hundreds of CDs, including the forthcoming Louis Armstrong at MGM and Fred Astaire at MGM discs.
