Kourtney Iman King

Kourtney Iman King, a conceptual artist with Caribbean heritage and southern roots in both Atlanta, Georgia, and Decatur, Alabama, holds a BA in African American Studies from the University of Alabama and is currently pursuing an MFA in Fine Arts Photography at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her work interrogates the visual and cultural aesthetics of Black life, with a concentrated emphasis on the complexities of Black femininity and expression. Through her practice, she seeks to challenge dominant narratives while creating space for nuanced representations of Black womanhood.
