Nadine Hubbs is a historian, theorist, and critic whose scholarship and media engagements take a musical perspective on U.S. society and culture. Her work on country music includes Rednecks, Queers, and Country Music; the Uncharted Country collection; the Dolly Parton’s America podcast; and a book in progress on Mexican Americans and country music. She teaches women’s and gender studies, music, and American culture at the University of Michigan.
