A native of Selmer, Tennessee, who started his writing career in Memphis, Stephen Deusner is a longtime music journalist whose work appears in Uncut, Pitchfork, the New York Times, and Spin, among other publications. He’s the author of Where the Devil Don’t Stay: Traveling the South with the Drive-By Truckers and Garth Brooks in... The Life of Chris Gaines (part of Bloomsbury’s 33 1/3 series). He lives in Bloomington, Indiana.
