Lucas Loredo’s stories have been twice named as distinguished by Best American Short Stories, and his essay “Mother Tongue,” originally published in the Oxford American, will be anthologized in Best American Travel Writing 2019. He earned his MFA at the Michener Center for Writers in Austin, his hometown.
