Rebecca Gayle Howell is an assistant professor of poetry and translation for the University of Arkansas’s MFA program and the longtime poetry editor at the Oxford American. Among her awards are the United States Artists Fellowship, the Marguerite and Lamar Smith Fellowship from the Carson McCullers Center, two poetry fellowships from the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, and the Pushcart Prize.
