Tayler Montague is a filmmaker, writer, curator, and native New Yorker. Her cultural criticism and film programming have been featured in publications such as Film Comment, Reverse Shot, the Fader, and more. She has done programs and curation work at institutions such as BAM, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Studio Museum in Harlem, and MoMA. She made her directorial debut with In Sudden Darkness (2020), which premiered at BlackStar Film Festival and won the Best Narrative Short Award at the New Orleans Film Festival.
