Fossils of the Future

Eyes on the South

Artist: Kristen Regan

Project: Anthropocene: On the Precipice

Description: Inspired by the 2014 discovery of plastiglomerates on Hawaii’s Big Island, Kristen Regan imagines modernized fossils made up of organic elements fused with discarded plastic objects. Anthropocene: On the Precipice surveys our current era of accelerated environmental change, revealing the lasting effects of human activity and mass production.
