Artist: Susan Berger

Project: Martin Luther King Dr.

In most American cities there is an avenue or boulevard bearing Martin Luther King Jr.’s name. From Shreveport, Louisiana to Portland, Oregon, photographer Susan Berger’s work documents contemporary scenes of the neighborhoods surrounding these streets and, in the spirit of their namesake, examines the ways in which King inspires or influences residents.
